Sydney Swans Trivia, presented by Kaplan – Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (Terms and Conditions) apply to all entries to the competition to be known as Sydney Swans Trivia (Program). These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire arrangement between and agreement of Sydney Swans Limited ABN 48 063 349 708 and Kaplan Australia Pty Limited ABN 76 117 262 165 and the entrant relating to the entry into and the conduct of the Program. It is the responsibility of each entrant to review these Terms and Conditions carefully and to understand them before taking part in the Program.
Each entrant agrees to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions by entering into the Program.
1. Promotion and Funding
1.1 The Program is promoted and funded by Sydney Swans Limited ABN 48 063 349 708 (SSL or the ‘Promoter’) with the support of Kaplan Australia Pty Limited ABN 76 117 262 165 (Kaplan).
2. Entrant Criteria
2.1 Lawful resident of: Australia only at the time of entry into the Program
2.2 Minimum age at the time of entry into the Program: NA
2.3 Program start time and date: 12.00am on 21 March 2018
2.4 Program closing time and date: 11.59pm on 15 August 2018
2.5 Entrants accept that by entering into the Program that the names of each Round Winner and of the Overall Winner will appear on www.sydneyswanstrivia.com.au and Sydney Swans media channels between 1 April 2018 and 16 August 2018 as they are selected as a winner.
2.6 Each entrant must satisfy the entrant criteria stated in clauses 2.1 and 2.2 in order to be classified as an eligible entrant (Eligible Entrant) to the Program.
2.7 Each entrant accepts that only an Eligible Entrant can enter the Program and be eligible to be a winner.

3.1 There will be one (1) overall winner (Overall Winner) and ten (10) round winners (Round Winners).
3.2 There will be one (1) Round Winner selected from entries submitted in the Program during each time frame between Sydney Swans home games as set out in the Competition Schedule.
3.3 Each winner will be selected by way of a random draw from all Eligible Entries at the Promoter’s premises, Light Tower 4, SCG Driver Avenue Moore Park NSW 2021, at 11:00 on the dates specified in the Competition Schedule above.
3.4 There will be one (1) Overall Winner selected from entries submitted in the Program during the period of the competition, as set out in the Competition Schedule.
4.1 The Overall Winner will receive a Major Prize (Major Prize) consisting of:
(a) A catered corporate box for six (6) guests at the Round 23 home game against the Hawthorn at the Sydney Cricket Ground, to be held the weekend of the 23– 26 August 2018.
(b) The catered corporate box experience includes all food and beverages served with in the box. This is for six (6) guests. Two (2) x former Sydney Swans players will also be present in the corporate box as special guests.
(c) The major prize winner of Swans Trivia will also win a 2018 Signed Sydney Swans guernsey.
(d) The total prize value of the Major Prize is up to $3,800.
4.2 The ten (10) Round Winners will each receive a prize consisting of the following:
(a) Swans Shop gift voucher of $100.00. More details can be found here https://shop.sydneyswans.com.au/gift-voucher
(b) The total value of each individual Round Prize is $100.00. The total value of the Round Prize pool is up to $1,000.00.
4.4 The total value of the entire prize pool, consisting of the Prize for the Overall Winner and the Round Winner Prizes is up to $4,800.00.
4.5 SSL’s decision as to the entitlement to and the awarding of prizes is final and absolute, subject to State and Territory legislation, and no correspondence of any nature will be entered into in that respect.
4.6 All Prizes are valued inclusive of GST.
4.7 SSL takes no responsibility whatever for any variation in Prize item values.
4.8 A Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
4.9 In the event that any Prize item is unavailable, SSL reserves the right to substitute a Prize item of equal or greater value for it.
4.10 Any taxes or other imposts (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving a Prize are the sole and absolute responsibility of the winner.
4.11 SSL makes no representation or warranty of any nature as to the quality or suitability or merchant ability of any of the goods or services offered as Prizes.
4.12 SSL accepts no responsibility whatever for loss or damage to a Prize in transit to the winner or otherwise.
5. Who may enter
5.1 The only persons who may enter and be awarded Prizes are Eligible Entrants and who are not:
(i) employees of, or contractors to, SSL or any of its agencies involved with this Program, or
(ii) members of the immediate family of employees of and contractors to SSL.
5.2 For the purpose of clause 5.1, "immediate family" means spouse, de facto spouse, parent, step-parent, natural or adopted child and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, 1st cousin of any employee of or contractor to SSL, whether or not they live in the same household as the employee or contractor.
6. Entrants bound by Terms and Conditions
6.1 By participating in the Program, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
7. How to enter the Program
7.1 To enter the Program, an Eligible Entrant must:
(a) Read and accept the Terms and Conditions;
(b) Log onto the competition website at www.sydneyswanstrivia.com.au;
(c) Start the process by registering his or her required details at www.sydneyswanstrivia.com.au (including his or her full name, address, state of residence, date of birth and email address);
(d) Answer as many of the six (6) Sydney Swans Trivia questions correctly as possible to receive a score out of six (6). An entrant must score a minimum of six (6) correct answers in order to be in the running for the Overall Winner prize.
(e) All Participants who register during the specified timelines indicated in competition schedule will be in the running to be selected as a Round Winner.
(f) All participants that have entered the program and have scored six (6) Sydney Swans Trivia questions correctly during the period of the promotion will be communicated to via one (1) standalone email that will be sent by the Sydney Swans on the 7th August 2018 to their registered email address with a final trivia question. Participants will then reply to the email on the prompts provided and must answer correctly to be considered for the final draw for the Overall Winner.
7.2 Each valid submitted entry will give the entrant the opportunity to be considered as a possible Round Winner.
7.3 Each valid submitted entry who also correctly answers six (6) Sydney Swans Trivia questions and replies to the email with final trivia question correctly will give the entrant the opportunity to be considered as a possible Overall Winner.
7.4 Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that the full name that entrant submits with his or her entry may be published on the competition website if that entrant is selected as a winner.
8. Selection of winner
8.1 At the times and dates stated in the Competition Schedule, SSL will select the ten (10) Round Winners, each being an individual Eligible Entrant with a valid entry who has registered his or her participation on the Sydney Swans Trivia competition website during one of the ten (10) rounds of the Program.
8.2 At the time and date stated in the Competition Schedule, SSL will select the Overall Winner from the pool of entries lodged for the Program.
8.3 All Round Winners and the Overall Winner will be selected at random from the entries that have been completed for either the given competition round for the quarterly prizes or from the entire pool of entries across the competition period for the overall winner by SSL.
8.4 Prizes (or in the case of vouchers, prize confirmations) will be sent within 28 days of the draw.
8.5 The Promoter may conduct such further draws on 10 December 2018)_ at the same time and place (Sydney Swans Limited, Light Tower 4, SCG Driver Avenue, Moore Park NSW 2021) as the original draw in order to distribute any prizes unclaimed by this date, subject to State and Territory legislation. Winners of any further draws will be notified by email within two business days of the draw.
9. Limitations on entry
9.1 There is no limit to the number of entries which can be lodged by any one person.
9.2 However, entries for the prize draws are subject to the following:
(a) a maximum of ten (10) entries per entrant will be considered for each prize draw as appropriate; and
(b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with the entry requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions.
10. Application Period (Application Period)
10.1 This Program starts at the Sydney time and date stated in clause 2.3.
10.2 Entries must be received by the Sydney time and date stated in clause 2.4.
11. Winner notification and publication
11.1 Each winner will be notified by telephone and email within 2 days of each draw, using the details provided in the winner’s entry.
11.2 The name and suburb of each winner will be published as stated in clause 7.3.
12. Privacy Statement
12.1 All entries to the Program become the sole property of SSL.
12.2 SSL will collect personal information including (but not limited to) the name and contact details of each entrant for the purpose of administrating the Program.
12.3 SSL may disclose personal information about each entrant to external providers and organisations to which it may out source certain functions in relation to the Program. If an entrant has indicated in his or her entry that he or she consents to his or her details being provided to such external providers and organisations, SSL may do so in accordance with that consent.
12.4 Each entrant may have access about his or her information provided in any entry to the Program by calling Sydney Swans on (02) 9339 9123. Please refer to the Privacy Statement available at www.sydneyswans.com.au/privacy
13.1 No responsibility is accepted by SSL for entries that are late or not received, or entries with incorrect or incomplete details.
13.2 Each entrant is responsible for ensuring that he or she is able to connect to and lodge the entry through www.sydneyswanstrivia.com.au. SSL is not responsible if that website is not available to any entrant for any reason during the Application Period.
13.3 To the extent permitted by law, SSL and its related entities and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents, will not be liable for any:
(a) loss or damage, whatsoever which is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to indirect or consequential, financial or other loss); or
(b) any personal injury suffered or sustained, in connection with any persons, entrants or organisation’s participation in the Program or the receipt or use of the grants or prize by an entrant or organisation or anyone participating with that entrant or organisation.
13.4 The information contained in these Terms and Conditions has been prepared without taking into account the objectives, needs, financial and taxation situation of any particular entrant or organisation. The circumstances of each entrant may differ and it is for each entrant to consider that when entering the Program.
13.5 This Program is governed by the laws of New South Wales and each entrant agrees to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New South Wales Courts.
